* at 9:00 am friday the stage was 17.9 feet.
* flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* forecast...the river will continue rising to near 19.9 feet by
early monday morning. the river will fall below flood stage early
saturday morning.
* at 20.0 feet...access to north lake and izaak walton areas nearly
impossible by land vehicles. south lake area and 10 homes near
fort harrison country club begin to flood. water is at critical
stage for a few agricultural levees.

* until friday february 03.
* at 8:00 am friday the stage was 21.2 feet.
* flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* forecast...the river will continue rising to near 22.0 feet by
tomorrow early afternoon. the river will fall below flood stage
friday morning.
* at 24.0 feet...floodwaters is near the top of all agricultural
levees. some county roads are impassable. high water isolates a
few rural residents. basement flooding begins along water street
in montezuma. meducsa aggregates gravel company plant number 9
begins to flood. on april 27, 2011 at least one vermillion county
road was flooded.

...light snow accumulations possible late tonight and early saturday...
a fast moving low pressure system will track through the lower
great lakes tonight...spreading light snow into the wabash valley
around midnight and spreading east across central indiana through
the overnight. light snow will end around or shortly after
daybreak on saturday.
at this time...accumulations of 1 to 1.5 inches will be possible
from the northern wabash valley east through kokomo and muncie.
further south through the interstate 70 corridor and including the
indianapolis metro area and terre haute...accumulations of half an
inch to an inch are expected by saturday morning. lighter
accumulations are expected across southern portions of central
indiana.
motorists traveling late tonight may encounter slick spots and
snow covered roadways in some areas...especially over far northern
portions of central indiana. stay tuned to the national weather
service website...noaa weather radio or your local media outlets
for further updates.
