Two women have been arrested for making and passing fake money here in the valley.

The Clark County Sheriff’s office, along with the Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force, conducted the investigation over the past few days.

33-year-old Mandy Tingley and 39-year-old Michelle Welcher were arrested and police believe that other arrests might yet be made.

These two are being charged with forgery.

Officers believe that they passed counterfeit currency here in Vigo County, Indiana and Clark County, Illinois.

The investigation is ongoing.
