With Illinois struggling mightily with its deficit, Governor Pat Quinn signed major cuts to the Medicaid program to help ease some of the strain on the state. The law will cut 1.6 billion dollars from Illinois’ Medicaid program. While that will help ease the budget a bit, it will leave 25,000 working parents without health coverage starting July 1st.
