A restoration project hopes to revitalize a valley park, but the process could be a long one. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has a 20 year revitalization plan in place for the Vermillion Rise Mega Park in Vermillion County. The plan would allow for two thousand acres of land be restored for conservation purposes. Another one thousand acres would go to bat protection programs. Officials hope to turn the park back into a forest type setting that it once was. For more information on this project, you can go to www.vermillionrise.com.
