Family members of a woman struck and killed by a train in Shelburn over the weekend tell investigators that she had been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimers disease.
68 year old Goldie Cummins of Shelburn was walking near the CSX tracks near her home when she was struck. Three eyewitnesses, who were juveniles, told State Police they tried to reach her before she was hit.
No autopsy is planned.
