The City of Terre Haute has decided to call of the Fireworks Celebration planned for the 4th of July at Fairbanks Park. Much like other cities who have postponed their fireworks shows, the dry weather is the reason. Mayor Duke Bennett says the rescheduled date could be Labor Day, but that depends on the longevity of the drought.

Linton has called of it's fireworks show and Paris, Illinois has put theirs on hold as-well.
