A proposed Indiana law has the potential to save thousands of lives. The Indiana Lifeline Act would allow students to call 991 for someone who has been drinking too much and needs medical attention, without getting themselves into trouble. The bill, which originated from the student body at Purdue University, has already passed both a House Committee and the Indiana Senate unanimously and is on its way back to the House, where officials say it will likely pass.
