Late last week we told you that 18-year-old Daniel Rodgers escaped from the Vermillion County Jail.

He is back behind bars, but we haven’t been told just where he was found.

He was initially jailed on theft charges.

Police say Rodgers had been removed from the secure portion of the jail to the interview room to be video recorded.

After interviewing Rodgers for about an hour, the interviewing officer left the room for a couple minutes to verify the information and while he was gone Rodgers managed to slip out a window.

Vermillion County Deputies say 18-year-old Daniel Rodgers escaped last night round 8 p.m.

Rogers is a white male, about 5'7" tall and was last seen wearing jail clothing. Officers believe that he would be headed towards the Cayuga but could be anywhere.

He was initially jailed on theft charges. Police say that Rodgers is trained in martial arts and should be considered dangerous.
