The numbers say lots of people were only wishing they had Labor Day off. But some 15 million Americans, and that includes more than 300 thousand Hoosiers have been off work for months. Not by choice, but because of the economy. The unemployed say they can’t even get an interview. They’re told to fill out an application online, and then hear nothing. Meanwhile, some people with jobs worry about getting laid off and even more are worried about having their paychecks cut. Number crunchers say the unemployment levels are expected to stay high through the end of the year.
