The critically-acclaimed horror film has ended Real Steel's two-week run at the top of the U.S. box office.

Other new releases fared poorly - director Paul W.S. Anderson's The Three Musketeers revamp and Rowan Atkinson's Johnny English Reborn were big flops.

The Three Musketeers grossed a disappointing $8.8 million (£5.5 million) and comedy Johnny English Reborn made only $3.8 million (£2.4 million) at the U.S. box office.
