Marshall, IL saw the re-opening of Harlan Hall this weekend. Harlan Hall was built in1872 and was originally an opera hall.  The city of Marshall bought Harlan Hall in 1999 and began renovations soon after.  Current Mayor Ken Smith noted that he was a on the city council when Harlan Hall was  purchased by the city and is now happy to see the light at the end of the tunnel.  The city says they plan to mainly use the hall for weddings and benefits.
