Matthew Fox officially knows where he'll be breathing heavily next.
The actor just signed on for his first post-Lost role: an assassin in the upcoming film I, Alex Cross, a reboot of James Patterson's novel. Tyler Perry also stars and Rob Cohen will direct.
In the film, Fox will play Michael Sullivan -- a villain who, according to Deadline, ""kills for both money and thrills"" and is one of the best-known villains in Patterson's novels. The movie will center on a ""mano a mano"" battle between Sullivan and Tommy Kane (played by Ed Burns), who's Alex Cross' partner. Mark Moss adapted the screenplay.
Unfortunately, despite being a fan of both Fox and Lost (R.I.P.), I, Alex Cross sounds like it won't be much more than another crappy action movie. And, well, with Perry's involvement, that usually makes everything worse. Seriously.
