Michigan State has lost its last six games following a bye week and Coach Mark Dantonio said at his weekly news conference Tuesday that he and his staff want to make sure the Spartans don’t have any chance to come out flat in Saturday’s final home against Purdue.
The last time the Spartans came off a bye week with nine wins was two years ago and they got embarrassed 49-to-18 at Penn State. A tenth win on the season will keep the Spartans in Rose Bowl contention and they would become only the third team in M-S-U history with 10 victories, joining the 1965 and 1999 teams to reach that milestone.
