Indianapolis (WIBQ)-If your 4th of July plans include traveling, you can expect to see more police on the roads too. The Indiana State Police will conduct operation C.A.R.E, a federally funded program that will allow approximately 150 additional troopers to patrol area roadways during the holiday weekend. Troopers will also target impaired drivers, aggressive drivers and those who fail to buckle up or properly restrain their children. The crackdown begins at midnight Friday and ends Monday, July 5, at midnight. As always police remind you to drive safely, buckle up and never drink and drive.
