MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WSAU) – Marshfield firefighters will move into their new fire station next week.

Construction crews are putting the finishing touches on the state-of-the-art facility on East 4th Street. The 26,000 square foot, two-story building will have enough room for 11 emergency vehicles.

The city will hold an uncoupling ceremony, which is like a ribbon cutting ceremony, on September 8th with an open house September 11th.

There had been a few delays early in the construction, but Schmidt says the project has met its target completion date.
