The NBA's biggest crop of free agents hit the open market this morning with LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, Dirk Nowitzki, Amare Stoudemire and Joe Johnson headlining the wish list of several teams.
While contracts for unrestricted free agents cannot be signed until July 8, negotiations and rumors will be plentiful in the next week. James will reportedly meet with the New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets today. But if LaBron leaves Cleveland still searching for a title after 7 years with the Cavs, most experts are now predicting he’ll end up with the Chicago Bulls. Teams were already talking to free agents just after the stroke of midnight this morning.
Second-tier free agents are about all the Pistons will be looking at and Detroit, like most of the rest of the league, will be waiting and watching to see what’s left after the dominoes start to fall when LaBron makes his move.
