JUNEAU COUNTY, Wis. (WTAQ) - Wisconsin’s largest National Guard troop deployment since World War II is officially over. The final 20 members of the 32nd Infantry Red Arrow Brigade have arrived in Madison. They stayed behind in Kuwait through the end of last week, to handle the details for the return of the 3,200 other brigade members who finished a year of service including 8 months in Iraq. The troops have been returning in waves since January 5th. Most flew into Volk Field in Juneau County, went to Fort McCoy for debriefing, and then had homecomings in communities throughout the state. Also, 13 intelligence solders in Madison’s Company “B” flew home on Sunday. They were debriefed at Fort Lewis in Washington, after spending a year of active duty with the Minnesota Army Guard’s 34th Infantry Division.
