The beloved anchorman revealed his personal battle on live TV last December (09), admitting doctors had performed surgery on him to remove a malignant tumour in his chest and part of his lung.
But the 62 year old insists he has now been given a clean bill of health.
He tells People.com, ""I've got very little to complain about. I'm doing well. I'm still doing well. Doctors tell me I'm free and clear, so I hope for better times.""
