INDIANAPOLIS (WIBQ) - The Indiana State Police can now be found on Facebook® and Twitter™. The agency announced the official launch of their social network sites to provide information to the media and public. The Twitter™ site will offer followers’ up-to-the minute information about selected traffic events or criminal investigations effecting safety, including crime alerts, suspect descriptions, Amber and Silver alerts, dangerous weather conditions and traffic crashes are just a few of the anticipated uses.
Facebook® users can receive updates as they’re posted once they become a fan of the ISP. Indiana State Police Superintendent Paul Whitesell, said social networking is one more way the Indiana State Police can reach out to the public.
