(Royal Oak, MI)  --  Congressman Gary Peters held an event on Main Street in Royal Oak to highlight the need for Wall Street reform.  Peters says that a critical component of Wall Street Reform should ensure that every penny of the TARP needs to be paid back to the Treasury by the banks that received the bailout, not by the taxpayers.  Peters talked about how Wall Street reform legislation will, quote, "curb reckless Wall Street investment practices and protect the economy from future crisis."  He says it will also help get Wall Street investing in business development and job creation again, as well as protect consumers who are seeking mortgages and other loans, from being ripped off.
