Rush opened up his show Monday with an explanation detailing why he apologized this past Saturday.
"This is the the mistake I made. In fighting them, I became like them (the Liberals). Against my own instincts, I descended to their level by using those 2 words (slut and prostitute). I feel very badly about that. I've always tried to maintain a very high degree of those two words distracted from the point I was trying to make. Again, I sincerely apologize for using those two words. I don't think she is either of those two words. The apology was sincere. It was not about anything else. No ulterior motive. Pure simple heartfelt. All the theories and all the experts are wrong."
You can read - or listen to - the entire Rush Limbaugh apology here.
Haven't we all said something in the "heat of the moment" that we wish we would have said differently? I was not offended by Rush's comments. I understand why he apologized, but I don't believe that he needed to apologize for what he said. I agree with what he called Ms. Fluke.
And by the way, if Rush 'toned it down'.......who would listen????
And that's my 'pinion.
