I haven't read every detail of all the pros and cons of the issues regarding Chauncey Rose Middle School, but of course I have an opinion.
I think it is probably time for Chauncy Rose to close its doors. As sad as it is to see this happen, there comes a time for all things to come to an end. The sad part of this whole situation is that the way things are now, econimics is the ruler in which we have to measure most major events.
Purse strings are becoming ever-so-tight and it is really hitting our school corporation hard. As sad as it may be to see a good school close it's doors, you have to look at it as a new and exciting chapter opening for your children.
The hard part is that friends may end up at different middle schools, but they won't have to lose contact with each other with cell phones, e-mail, facebook, twitter and the like! I'm sure it will be harder for the parents than it will be the kids!
Hopefully, all of the teachers will be placed at the various middle schools and no jobs will be lost. After all, when schools gain children, increasing thier enrollment, the teachers should follow to keep class sizes at the normal level.
